After fans at SDCC got a taste of the Deadpool trailer last month, Fox has now brought out the full formal work with both an all audiences green band trailer and the more accurate look at the film with the red band trailer. Normally it’s easier to just ignore the green band trailers in cases like this, but it is interesting to see the choices made in making it TV acceptable (and what the broadcast version will look like later) and the end moment of the green band trailer also plugs the red band trailer in a very fun way.
The film is set for a February 12th, 2016 release directed by Tim Miller based on a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wrenick. It’s set to star Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller and Gina Carano.
Plot concept: Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
