Julie Benz Prepares For End Of ‘No Ordinary Family’

Julie Benz Prepares For End Of ‘No Ordinary Family’ Julie Benz is planning for a future without her No Ordinary Family family, similar to what Michael Chiklis did just last week, as she’s booked a second position pilot in case things don’t work out on the ABC action/drama. With the ratings for the series bottoming out recently and no sign of growth, as well as a gap between episodes at the moment before it hurtles towards the season finale, Benz is signing on for a supporting role in an untitled CBS drama according to Deadline Hollywood . She would star alongside Patrick Wilson and Jennifer Ehle as the sister to the series lead Wilson.

Jonathan Demme is directing the supernatural medical drama, from CBS TV Studios and Timberman/Beverly, which centers on Michael (Patrick Wilson), an ultra-competitive surgeon whose life is changed forever when his ex-wife (Jennifer Ehle), a doctor running a free clinic, dies and begins teaching him what life is all about from the hereafter. Benz will play Michael’s sister, an unfocused and overwhelmed single mother with a huge heart.
