Original ‘Naruto’ Anime Set For Toonami

Original ‘Naruto’ Anime Set For Toonami Fans of Naruto will get to go back to the beginning once again as Toonami will be showing the series from episode one, uncut, starting on December 1st/2nd. The show is set for the 12:30 AM slot according to the network which has it set for just one showing during the block with no repeats at the moment. With this past October being the 10th anniversary of the show’s original run in Japan, it’s certainly welcome to see the younger, simpler and more orange ninja back on TV.

Cartoon Network’s Jason DeMarco mentioned that this is only the original series that they’re working with and it was made clear that Disney XD still has the Naruto: Shippuden rights. Interestingly, the Toonami block has its own tumblr page where they’re currently answering a lot of the “dialogue” from fans about how shounen heavy the Toonami block is now and what people would like to see help balance it out a little, as they note plainly that the block has always been shounen heavy.
