Crunchyroll Adds ‘Wakako-Zake’ For Summer 2015 Anime Lineup

Crunchyroll Adds ‘Wakako-Zake’ For Summer 2015 Anime Lineup Crunchyroll has picked up another straggler as part of the summer 2015 anime season with the addition of the short-form series Wakako-Zake to the site. The series began earlier this summer so Crunchyroll has added the first seven episodes to the service now with new episodes going live on Sunday’s at 10:30am ET for users. It’s got the best availability out there as it’s open worldwide to audiences excluding Japan.

The series is directed by Minoru Yamaoka at DCI while Yoshishige Kosako is handling the character designs while it stars Miyuki Sawashiro in the lead role. The manga comes from Chie Shinkyu and there isn’t a lot of materials out there overall for it with just four volumes so far.

Plot concept: Murasaki Wakako is a 26-year-old OL that loves nothing more than delicious food and drink. Wakako’s favorite thing to do for relaxation is to go off by herself after work and go to various places to eat and drink, even if she’s never been there before. The moment Wakako is able to taste the pairing between the food she wants to eat and the perfect accompanying drink, the happy sound of “Pshuuu” leaves her lips. Now, then. Where shall we drink tonight?
