The anime adaptation of Young Black Jack is now a bit more real for fans as the official site has revealed the first promo spot for the series. With eight volumes to its name so far, the series is scheduled for an October 1st, 2015 debut in Japan. The series is being directed by Mitsuko Kase based on scripts and supervision from Ryousuke Takahashi. Miyuki Katayama and Nana Miura on board as the character designers and chief animation directors for the project that’s being animated by Tezuka Productions. The cast includes Yuichiro Umehara as Kuro Hazama, Koji Yusa as Yabu, Shizuka Itou as Maiko Okamoto and Akio Ohtsuka as the narratio.
The adaptation is working to bring the 2011 manga series written by Yoshiaki Tabata with artwork by Yuugo Okuma to the small screen. That series serves as a prequel to the original and has eight volumes out as of earlier this summer in Japan. While the original work from Tezuka has seen numerous adaptations over the years, this series is now getting ready for an adaptation. New Black Jack with a look at his younger and more formative years is definitely something that has a lot of potential while still adhering to what makes the character popular.
Plot concept: Based on the brilliant maverick doctor created by manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka. This prequel follows Black Jack when he was still a medical student in the 1960s.
