The first full month of the DC Comics relaunch is behind us and that puts fans into some different positions here. Those that partook of what came out have to start figuring out what they really want to keep and plan out for October. For those that went digital, it’s a two-tiered process in a lot of ways too. You have to decide which titles make the cut and which ones you want to start sampling at the +1 month stage, where they drop down in price to $1.99 for $2.99 books and $2.99 for $3.99 books. If you passed over a lot, if not all, of the books released in September, you can save a fair bit. Some of our books will get shifted to the +1 month strategy, but there’s always that easy way of just adding another book in the middle of the night to read. This week has all familiar titles now as the first full week comes back around again, so there’s no surprises here with what’s coming out on October 5th.
For myself, the same-day purchases are down to Action Comics, OMAC, Red Lanterns and Stormwatch. On the flip side, my +1 month purchases go up a bit with last months releases that I skipped over, so there’s plenty of new reading to go alongside it. What will you pick up today?
