We learned back in July that Dramatical Murder was getting an unaired episode that would be included with its release, which is getting a DVD and Blu-ray box set for its entire season rather than singles. Ahead of the release, Avex Pictures has now dropped a new 80 second promo for the unaired episode that will delight fans of the show in a big way. The show is set to land on December 24th, 2014 with twelve episodes plus the OVA for each set. The DVD set is priced at 37,800 yen and, surprise surprise, so is the Blu-ray set. The release will include the unaired episode Data-xx-Transitory and will also include the original soundtrack CD and a Drama CD.
The show adapts the story that comes from the boys-love adventure game of the same name. Kazuya Miura has taken on the role of director for this at Studio NAZ based on scripts by Kabura Fuchiii, who worked on the game, and Touko Machida. Character designs are being worked on by Yukiko Ban while Yuuki Hayashi is set to do music composition.
The series will star Atsushi Kisaichi as Aoba, Hiroki Takahashi as Kōjaku, Satoshi Hino as Noiz, Kenichirou Matsuda as Mink, Masatomo Nakazawa as Clear and Ryota Takeuchi as Ren.
Plot concept: The story takes place many years in the future where the game “Rhyme,” a virtual fighting game, is incredibly popular and people possess “AllMates,” convenient AI computers. Aoba leads an ordinary life, working at a junk shop and living with his grandmother on the island of Midorijima. Unlike his friends, he doesn’t participate in Rhyme, nor does he belong in a gang. However, when rumors of people disappearing spread, Aoba finds himself needing to unravel the mysteries behind the island in order to protect his everyday life.
